Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki has recommended advocate Sabita Bhandari Baral for the post of Attorney General, who will serve as the government’s chief legal advisor.
Earlier, Attorney General Ramesh Badal submitted his resignation, which was approved by President Ramchandra Paudel on Sunday.
Based on Prime Minister Karki’s recommendation, President Paudel will now appoint Sabita Bhandari Baral as Attorney General. She previously served as an Information Commissioner at the National Information Commission.
