In the 17th match of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), the Pokhara Avengers have set a victory target of 151 runs against the Lumbini Lions.
After losing the toss, Pokhara were invited to bat first at the TU Cricket Ground. They posted 150 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Opener Adam Rossington top-scored for Pokhara with an impressive 81 runs, hitting 7 fours and 5 sixes off 63 balls.
Rossington and Jimmy Neesham shared a crucial 92-run partnership for the fifth wicket, helping recover the innings after a poor start in the powerplay. Sumit Verma was dismissed for a duck as the third wicket.
Jimmy Neesham remained unbeaten on 51 runs, completing his half-century on the final ball of the innings with 3 fours and 3 sixes off 32 balls.
For Lumbini Lions, Sher Malla and Tilak Raj Bhandari took 2 wickets each, while Gulbadin Naib claimed one wicket.
