Police are preparing to arrest Dr. Nicholas Bhusal after he issued a public statement inciting violence. Bhusal had threatened to surround the residences of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and then–Kathmandu Chief District Officer Chhabi Rijal.
Following Bhusal’s provocative remarks, police have tightened security around Oli’s residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur. His inflammatory social media statements have also prompted a warning of retaliation from a member of the Tarun Dal youth wing.
According to police sources, efforts are underway to locate Bhusal. Authorities said he is being sought to prevent potential clashes between opposing groups.
Earlier, on October 9 (Ashoj 23), police had arrested Bhusal while he attempted to organize a demonstration at Maitighar, Kathmandu.
