With the filing of nominations for the House of Representatives on Tuesday, political parties in Kaski have entered full election mode. A total of 49 candidates have registered their nominations across the district’s three constituencies, including candidates from 18 political parties and six independent contenders.
The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has begun election-focused meetings and discussions at the ward level. The party has nominated Bain Bahadur Adhikari Chhetri, Rashmi Acharya, and Damodar Bairagi in Kaski constituencies 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
The Nepali Congress has also intensified election-centered discussions following the nomination process. The party has fielded Tilak Ranabhat in constituency 1, Madhav Prasad Banstola in constituency 2, and Manoj Gurung in constituency 3.
The Communist Party of Nepal has stated that, as part of its election preparations, it will hold discussions today with its candidates and available central committee members in the district. According to district coordinator Bishwaprakash Lamichhane, party officials and candidates will begin door-to-door campaigns in all three constituencies starting tomorrow. The party has nominated Rajkaji Gurung, Hem Bahadur Thapa Parajuli, and Gopal Giri in constituencies 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is also holding a meeting in Kaski today. The party has nominated Khadga Raj Poudel, Uttam Prasad Poudel, and Bina Gurung as its candidates in constituencies 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
