The Election Commission has announced that all preparations have been completed for political parties to submit their closed lists under the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives Election 2082.
According to the schedule made public by the Commission, political parties must submit their closed lists for the proportional representation system today and tomorrow. Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that the closed lists submitted by parties on Poush 13 and 14 will be examined from Poush 15 to 20.
After completing the examination of the closed lists by Poush 20, the Commission has scheduled a period from Poush 21 to 27 for parties to make necessary corrections. From Poush 28 to Magh 3, the Commission will verify whether the revised closed lists meet the required standards. The preliminary closed list will be published on Magh 4, while the final list will be published on Magh 20, according to spokesperson Bhattarai.
A total of 100 political parties have registered to participate in the proportional representation election system using 93 election symbols. Only those political parties that have registered to take part in the proportional representation system will be eligible to submit their closed lists of candidates today and tomorrow.
