Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal held a meeting on Monday (Kartik 17).
The meeting took place at the Unified Socialist Party office in Aloknagar, where Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha was also present.
The leaders met a day after eight political parties, including the Maoist Centre and Unified Socialist, agreed on party unity. Unified Socialist Deputy General Secretary Ram Kumar Bhattarai informed that the discussion focused on the unification process.
Meanwhile, locals have expressed disappointment that even after nine years of the establishment of the municipality, it has not been able to construct its own office building.
Deputy Mayor Durga Kumari Khatri Bista stated that the construction could not proceed due to unavailability of land. “We have already prepared the DPR for the building, and construction work will begin as soon as land becomes available,” she said.
