The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has elected its party coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) as the parliamentary party leader.
A meeting of the party’s parliamentary party held on Sunday selected Prachanda, who was elected from Rukum East, as the leader.
In the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, the NCP won a total of 17 seats—8 under the first-past-the-post system and 9 under the proportional representation system.
