Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party, has extended his best wishes on the occasion of the 31st People’s War Day from Rukum East.
Delivering his message from Rukum East—the base area where the People’s War began—he said the memories of the insurgency have been revived.
“This year’s People’s War Day is special for me. As I celebrate it here in Rukum East, all the memories of the People’s War have come flooding back. It was through the inspiration of the local people here that we gained the energy to carry forward the movement,” he said.
He also noted that the contribution of the poor, women, and indigenous communities was decisive in the establishment of the Federal Democratic Republic.
