Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda,” Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), has proposed dissolving the party’s current Central Committee.
During Thursday’s Central Committee meeting at the Nepal Academy in Kathmandu, Prachanda presented his political report, suggesting that the committee—along with all office bearers, including the chairperson—be dissolved to pave the way for a special general convention.
If endorsed by the Central Committee, the proposal would dissolve all existing committees. Prachanda, facing growing pressure for leadership change following the Gen Z movement, had earlier floated this idea during a Standing Committee meeting.
