CPN (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that despite political differences among various communist parties, they have historically come together whenever the nation faces difficulties.
Addressing a joint election rally organized by the CPN and Rastriya Janamorcha in Galkot, Baglung today, Dahal said the cooperation in Baglung has sent a message of unity across the country.
He stated that the electoral alliance with Janamorcha has conveyed a strong message of unity nationwide and that the cooperation will continue even after the elections. “There are political differences among various communist parties, but we have united in the past whenever the nation faced challenges. This time as well, there will be functional unity and an alliance to steer the country away from crisis,” he said. “After assessing the situation following the movement of Bhadra 23 and 24, we moved forward with party unity and cooperation. It is in that context that collaboration with Janamorcha took place.”
CPN Masal General Secretary Mohan Bikram Singh said the country is facing a serious crisis and expressed confidence that the upcoming election will help bring it back on the right track. He urged voters not to take the February 21 election lightly and to identify and vote for those who will work in the country’s best interest.
It was also informed at the event that in Baglung’s two constituencies, the CPN will support Janamorcha candidate Krishna Adhikari in Constituency No. 1, while Janamorcha will back CPN candidate Gyananath Gaire in Constituency No. 2.
