Coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has alleged that individuals rejected by the historic Nepali people’s revolution are attempting to obstruct the upcoming elections.
Speaking at an election message gathering organized by the NCP Dolakha–Kathmandu Contact Election Mobilization Committee in Kathmandu on Saturday, Dahal urged party cadres to move forward with determination in election preparations.
“Some people are still claiming that elections will not take place. I want to appeal to everyone not to be influenced by such propaganda and to prepare firmly for the elections. Such regressive activities and conspiracies hold no meaning,” he said.
Dahal further commented that two political tendencies are currently confronting each other in the country — one that targets peaceful protesters with bullets and spreads unrest, and the other standing against such violence and destruction. He stated that the NCP stands firmly against these “murderous and destructive” forces.
“In this challenging moment, the NCP stands committed to saving the nation. The people will not accept killers and those who promote destruction,” he said. Dahal also claimed that if party members work intensively over the remaining 12 days, the NCP could emerge as the country’s largest party.
Targeting newly formed political parties, he remarked that while storms may appear strong for a few days, they do not last forever, asserting that the NCP’s journey toward victory has already begun.
