A pregnant woman suffering from labor pain was rescued by helicopter from Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality–6, Marang, in Myagdi district today.
According to the District Administration Office, Bishnu Kumari Garbuja, who was brought to the Marang Health Post with labor complications, was airlifted to Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara for further treatment.
The Gandaki Province government has been providing free air rescue services for pregnant women and new mothers in critical condition from remote areas.
