
President Ramchandra Paudel has been engaged in continuous consultations to form a new government. On Friday (Bhadra 27), he held discussions regarding the formation of an interim government under the leadership of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki.
As part of the process, President Paudel consulted with Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel. While there is agreement on forming an interim government led by Karki, consensus has yet to be reached on the dissolution of parliament.
Following President Paudel’s return to Shital Niwas, the Nepal Army has tightened security arrangements at the presidential residence.
