
On the occasion of Bada Dashain 2082, President Ramchandra Paudel has extended heartfelt best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, good health, and progress to all Nepalis at home and abroad.
In his Dashain message, President Paudel described the festival as a symbol of the victory of truth over falsehood, adding that it strengthens family gatherings, social harmony, goodwill, and fraternity. “Dashain has long been celebrated as a time for family reunions, joy, and the exchange of heartfelt emotions,” the statement reads.
He emphasized that the festival plays an important role in strengthening social unity amid Nepal’s geographic, cultural, and linguistic diversity, while also preserving cultural identity. He added that the tradition of offering respect and reverence to elders during Dashain further enhances its significance.
On political stability, President Paudel urged all sides to remain calm and extend necessary support and cooperation to ensure timely elections, thereby guaranteeing the continuity of a representative parliament and government.
He also highlighted the need for proper management of the extraordinary situation facing the nation, including human losses and damages to government, institutional, and private sectors.
Expressing hope for the country’s swift recovery from the current political crisis, President Paudel prayed for Goddess Durga to bless the entire nation with strength for the welfare of Nepal. He further wished for peace, stability, good governance, prosperity, and called upon all Nepalis to move forward toward economic progress with unity, justice, and equality.
