President Ramchandra Paudel is departing for Qatar today to attend the Second World Summit for Social Development, which will be held in Doha from November 4 to 6 (Kartik 18–20).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Paudel is visiting Qatar at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He will lead a 12-member Nepali delegation to the summit.
President Paudel is scheduled to address the main session of the summit on Kartik 18. The summit, organized under a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, is considered to be of great importance for member nations.
Upon completing his official visit to Qatar, President Paudel will return to Nepal on Kartik 20.
