Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expressed her hope that the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr will strengthen mutual respect, harmony, and cooperation among Nepalis, contributing to the nation’s prosperity and stability.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, celebrated after the completion of the holy month of Ramadan in the Islamic calendar, the Prime Minister extended heartfelt greetings to all Muslim brothers and sisters living in Nepal and abroad.
“Fasting throughout the long and demanding month of Ramadan teaches us the values of patience, tolerance, sacrifice, and dedication to humanity,” the Prime Minister wrote on social media platform Facebook. “For this very reason, the period of observing Ramadan is also regarded as a time of good deeds and self-discipline.”
She further expressed confidence that these values inspire society toward humanity, coexistence, and prosperity, and that Eid-ul-Fitr will further strengthen the spirit of goodwill, brotherhood, and unity among people.
