The process of shutting down unregistered social media platforms in Nepal has officially begun.
In line with the directive of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) on Thursday evening instructed all service providers to block access to such platforms.
According to NTA sources, the authority issued formal instructions to service providers through official letters and emails, following the ministry’s directive.
