Lalitpur — The District Administration Office, Lalitpur, has announced that the prohibitory orders and curfew imposed in the district will remain in effect until Sunday in response to the Gen-Z movement.
According to a notice issued on Friday, the restrictions, first enforced on September 8 (Bhadra 23), have been extended under the order of the Chief District Officer to ensure the safety of lives and property.
Under Section 6(a) of the Local Administration Act, 1971, the prohibitory order will be in force on Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while a curfew will be imposed the same day from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM on Sunday (Bhadra 29).
The District Administration Office stated that movement will be permitted only during designated hours: from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for essential activities.
Exempted from restrictions are ambulances, hearses, fire trucks, health workers, security personnel, accredited journalists, and vehicles transporting food, fuel, milk, vegetables, water, and medicines.
Government employees, as well as staff of banks and financial institutions, may travel to their offices with valid identification. Domestic and international air travelers will be allowed to reach the airport by showing their tickets.
Apart from the allotted hours and exemptions, all rallies, sit-ins, and demonstrations are strictly prohibited, the administration warned.
