The vote counting for the proportional representation system in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21, 2082 BS has been completed, according to Election Commission of Nepal.
Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur Jisi stated that with the completion of counting in Gorkha-1 and Ilam-1, all proportional representation votes have been tallied. The respective election offices are still sending detailed reports to the Election Commission.
With the completion of counting, the Commission has begun the process of determining the seat allocation for political parties, which is expected to be finalized in a few days.
As of 11:00 AM today, a total of 10,739,115 votes had been counted for the proportional representation system. The leading parties and their votes are:
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) – 5,139,235 votes
Nepali Congress – 1,749,583 votes
CPN-UML – 1,448,854 votes
Nepali Communist Party (NCP) – 805,773 votes
Shram Sanskriti Party – 378,649 votes
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) – 329,472 votes
Other parties have not reached the electoral threshold to secure proportional representation seats.
