The Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday on Chaitra 7 (Saturday) on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, a major festival of the Muslim community.
Issuing a statement, the Ministry of Home Affairs Nepal clarified that the holiday has been granted based on information received from the Muslim Commission Nepal, confirming that Eid falls on that date in the year 2082 B.S.
The statement, signed by Joint Secretary and spokesperson Ananda Kafle, also mentioned that the holiday is in line with the notice published earlier in the Nepal Gazette on Falgun 15, 2081.
