Pushpakamal Dahal, coordinator of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre), has emphasized the need for organizational unity and cooperation among leftist forces to tackle the country’s political complexities, public expectations, and threats to national sovereignty.
In a statement, Dahal said, “The historical responsibility to address the current political complexities, public expectations, and challenges to national sovereignty and democracy rests upon us. The nation’s problems and crises can only be resolved through progressive revolutionary ideas, committed organization, and sincere political initiative.”
He stressed the necessity of organizational consolidation among patriotic, progressive, and leftist forces and national cooperation among democratic forces. Dahal also highlighted that unity among leftist groups is crucial to protect the constitution, strengthen the federal democratic republic, and lay the foundation for socialism.
He appealed to all Maoist factions and leftist groups to unite under a single communist party banner and urged democratic forces to form a common front for national unity.
