Both matches scheduled for Saturday under the Prime Minister Cup One-Day Cricket Tournament were cancelled due to rain.
The opening match of the tournament was set to take place in Janakpur, while the second match was scheduled in Birgunj.
In Janakpur, the match between Madhesh Province and Koshi Province was called off before it could begin due to rain. Meanwhile, in Birgunj, the match between Karnali Province and Lumbini Province had started but was later abandoned following rainfall, according to the organizers.
As both matches were cancelled, all four teams were awarded one point each.
The tournament, featuring seven provincial teams and three departmental teams, is being held this time in Janakpur and Birgunj of Madhesh Province, as well as in Kathmandu.
The top two teams in the points table will compete in the final, which is scheduled to take place in Birgunj, Parsa.
