Rajendra Lingden, Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has said that the country must move forward with a new national understanding after the elections.
Addressing an election campaign program organized in Dhakadhai of Rupandehi on Sunday in support of RPP candidate Prajwal Bohara from Rupandehi–1, Lingden stated that merely holding the 2084 election in 2082 would not solve the country’s problems. He emphasized that after the elections, all sides must come together and take the nation forward through a fresh and comprehensive understanding.
He added that the RPP had earlier stressed the need for a new agreement among the monarchy, political parties, and the new generation even before the elections, but their call was ignored. Lingden urged voters to cast their ballots in a way that would create pressure for establishing national consensus in the country.
He also reminded voters that candidates would continue visiting households and greeting people until Falgun 21, urging them to think carefully and make proper use of their votes.
Lingden expressed confidence that after the elections, a strong force would emerge to create the environment necessary for forging a new national understanding.
