
A pickup Scorpio vehicle (Ba 13 Cha 3935) traveling from Manthali, Ramechhap, towards Hetauda met with an accident at a location known as Bokse Paharo in Manthali Municipality–6, killing 40-year-old Radha Karki Chauhan on the spot. She was reported to be a health worker in Manthali Municipality.
The driver of the vehicle and her husband, 45-year-old Uttam Chauhan, sustained injuries. According to Police Inspector Kaushal Nyaupane of the District Police Office, the injured was given initial treatment at Manthali Community Hospital and later referred to Kathmandu for further treatment.
Police stated that the vehicle veered off the road and fell about 100 meters down to the bank of the Tamakoshi River. Radha, who was also the in-charge of the Urban Health Center in Badimuhana, Manthali–7, and Uttam, who works at the Nepal Electricity Authority’s Manthali branch, were reportedly traveling to Hetauda this morning to visit their son studying there.
