Kathmandu: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to run preparations for the upcoming Falgun 21 elections alongside its regular party general convention and organizational activities.
On Friday, during a meeting of the RPP Central Committee, Chairperson Rajendra Lingden announced that party leaders and workers would be instructed to advance the party’s convention work and election preparation simultaneously.
However, Chairperson Lingden emphasized that the RPP remains steadfast in its belief that elections cannot provide a solution without addressing political problems. He also stated that the party has not reached a consensus on the agreement between the government and the Jenej (youth) movement, criticizing the lack of a defined timeline for its implementation. The RPP further stressed that constitutional amendments should reflect the will of the people on issues of republic, federalism, and secularism.
