Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane’s petition demanding release on bail has been scheduled for hearing.
The case is listed in the bench of Judge Narayan Sapkota at the Rupandehi District Court. Lamichhane, who is in judicial custody in connection with the Butwal-based Supreme Cooperative fraud case, filed the petition on July 19 seeking bail and release.
He claimed to have deposited NPR 27,484,000 as restitution for the damages. In the Supreme Cooperative fraud case, the Butwal bench of the High Court Tulsipur had ordered Lamichhane’s remand for judicial custody on April 4. Since then, he has been held at the Bhairahawa prison.
