The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), which is leading a majority government, has made it clear that it has no political interference, affiliation, or support within the civil service.
In a statement issued by party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, the party reiterated that since its establishment, it has upheld a policy of keeping public administration free from political influence, professional, and accountable to the public. It also noted that during the recent general elections, it had committed to strengthening the civil service.
The statement expressed serious concern over recent attempts to create confusion by linking the party and its leadership with various groups or campaigns operating within the civil service.
RSP clarified that it has no connection, support, or involvement with any such groups, campaigns, or union-style mechanisms.
Emphasizing that the primary duty of civil servants is public service and professionalism, the party urged employees not to come under the influence of any political party. It stressed that the administration should function based on meritocracy and that civil servants must remain accountable only to the state and the people.
The party also called for an end to past practices where work was influenced by political pressure, fear, or power centers. It appealed to all government employees to remain neutral, impartial, and responsible, dedicating themselves fully to public service.
