Dinesh Humagai, Vice-Chair of Bagmati Province and a direct candidate from Kavre in the 2079 elections, has resigned from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), submitting his resignation to the party’s General Secretary.
In his resignation letter, Humagai expressed strong dissatisfaction with the party, citing seven main reasons: manipulation in candidate selection, lack of transparency in central structure expansion, serious issues in membership and financial management, violations of party statutes and erosion of internal democracy, disregard for the voice of the province’s lowest levels, ethical questions regarding the leadership, structural distortions, and pursuit of personal interests.
At the end of his resignation, he wrote, “An organization that cannot correct its own flaws, does not respect internal democracy, fails to maintain transparency, and has lost its moral authority can only make empty claims about nation-building.”
