The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced that it will take action against individuals misusing the party’s name to engage in unruly activities during the recent Gen-Z movement.
The statement comes after allegations surfaced that people affiliated with RSP were involved in vandalism at offices of other political parties as well as government property.
RSP spokesperson Manish Jha issued a press release urging concerned authorities to investigate and take action against those involved in such activities.
Incidents of vandalism and arson also targeted some media outlets, which had been publishing critical reports on RSP and its chairperson Rabi Lamichhane. Following accusations that RSP supporters were behind the attacks, the party issued a strong warning.
“The party has received information that certain undesirable individuals and groups, taking advantage of the situation created by the Gen-Z movement, have been using the name of RSP and its affiliates to threaten industrialists, businesspeople, courts, and senior officials through phone calls and messages. RSP has no involvement in such activities. We call upon the concerned authorities to investigate and take necessary action against anyone involved,” spokesperson Jha stated.
