Ravi Kiran Hamal, one of the frontline leaders of the Gen Z movement who was also arrested during the protests, has submitted a petition to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) demanding the arrest of Prime Minister Sushila Karki and an impartial investigation against her.
Hamal, who came into controversy during the movement for being linked to the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), made his petition against the Prime Minister public through his social media account.
In the petition, Hamal accuses Prime Minister Karki of seizing power unconstitutionally and misusing the blood of youths who were martyred during the Gen Z uprising to cling to power. He alleges that individuals within Karki’s government are involved in activities against the nation and that many of them are already under investigation by various state agencies.
Hamal also accuses Karki of orchestrating mass killings during the Gen Z movement and provoking conflict by inciting protesters. He claims that instead of taking action against those involved in the killing and suppression of innocent youths, Karki encouraged them and later called those same individuals for dialogue under the pretext of elections.
He has demanded that she be arrested and investigated for her actions.
