The proportional representation candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) will be jointly selected by party chair Ravi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah.
Following an agreement between Lamichhane and Shah under which Balen Shah is set to become the party’s prime ministerial candidate and second-ranking leader, the two leaders will together finalize the proportional representation candidate list for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
RSP leader Shishir Khanal stated that with only one day remaining to submit the proportional list, Lamichhane and Shah will sit together to prepare and finalize the list.
The Election Commission has given political parties time until tomorrow to submit their proportional representation candidate lists for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
