The Revolutionary Communist Party Nepal has proposed the formation of an independent and united national government. In a press statement issued by General Secretary C.P. Gajurel (Gaurav), the party labeled Nepal’s current power structure as a “comprador capitalist state” and argued that a sovereign and people-oriented government is necessary as an alternative.
The party criticized the existing interim government as a “puppet regime,” claiming that it has worsened people’s problems related to food, shelter, clothing, education, health, employment, and communication.
The statement further said, “To break the chains of neo-colonialism, a national political conference should be held to form a united front of patriotic, revolutionary, and leftist forces.”
According to the party’s announced program, public gatherings will be held at the village and municipal levels on Kartik 28, followed by a nationwide leaflet distribution campaign on Mangsir 1.
Similarly, on Mangsir 7, the party will organize mass meetings in major cities across the country, including Mahendranagar, Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Ghorahi, Butwal, Baglung, Pokhara, Bharatpur, Bidur, Kathmandu, Dhulikhel, Birgunj, Dhanusha, Gaighat, Dharan, and Biratnagar.
Throughout the month of Mangsir, the party plans to launch a campaign titled “Expose the Corrupt and the Brokers.” On Poush 11, it will organize a central mass gathering to mark Mao Day.
General Secretary Gaurav has appealed to journalists and the general public to support and participate in these programs. The party stated that it will review these activities and use the findings to determine its future political strategy.
