Rishi Babu Pariyar, a leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has resigned from all his positions, including his general membership in the party.
Pariyar announced his departure citing recent political and ideological deviations within the party, along with its stance toward the Dalit community, which he strongly criticized.
He had been serving in multiple key roles, including as an elected central committee member from the party’s general convention, a member of the central executive committee, and a member of the central directive committee. He was also actively involved as a senior central leader of the party’s oppressed Dalit organization.
In his statement, Pariyar accused the party of failing to practice what it preaches regarding its pro-monarchy agenda. He also alleged that the party has not been sensitive to the issues faced by the Dalit community.
He specifically criticized the party’s proportional representation selections, claiming that despite the possibility of including both a Khas Arya and a Dalit candidate among four seats, the party selected Khas Arya candidates for both, effectively sidelining the Dalit community.
Pariyar further argued that there is a lack of political and ideological clarity within the party. He stated that the monarchy agenda is being used merely as a political tool, weakening the movement for its restoration. Additionally, he alleged discriminatory treatment toward genuinely patriotic leaders and party workers within the organization.
