The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has crossed 5 million votes in the proportional representation category in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21.
According to the Election Commission’s update at 10:40 AM on Tuesday, RSP secured 5 million votes out of the 10,419,234 votes counted so far.
No political party had previously managed to secure 5 million votes in the proportional representation category in past elections. By surpassing this mark, RSP has set a new record.
Similarly, Nepali Congress has received 1,692,000 votes, CPN (UML) has secured 1,411,000 votes, Nepal Communist Party has obtained 766,000 votes, Shram Sanskriti Party has received 358,000 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 324,000 votes.
The vote counting under the proportional representation system is still ongoing. So far, RSP, Nepali Congress, UML, Nepal Communist Party, Shram Sanskriti Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have crossed the threshold.
