Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Sobita Gautam has alleged that the law is being misused to attack the party’s president, Rabi Lamichhane.
Speaking at an event in Lalitpur on Saturday, Gautam claimed that as the popularity of RSP has grown among the Nepali people, attempts are being made to weaken, exhaust, and prevent the party from establishing itself in national politics by weaponizing legal cases against Lamichhane.
She said, “Walking on the right path is never easy. We face attacks, and a clear example is Rabi Lamichhane. As soon as RSP started raising the issues of the people and the party’s popularity increased, the established political forces felt threatened. So, to wear him down and stop him from establishing himself in politics, they misused the law and used legal cases as weapons to attack him.”
