Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balen Shah, has taken a double-margin lead in Jhapa-5 during the ongoing vote count.
Shah is ahead of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli by 1,748 votes.
According to the vote count update at 11:15 AM, Shah has secured 2,878 votes, while Oli has received 1,130 votes.
In the same constituency, the Nepali Congress candidate has received 183 votes, the Shram Sanskriti Party candidate 139 votes, the NCP candidate 129 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate 29 votes.
Meanwhile, in Chitwan-3, RSP candidate Sobita Gautam has maintained the lead with 4,944 votes. CPN candidate Renu Dahal is in second place with 2,960 votes.
Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Shankar Thapaliya has received 852 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Tek Prasad Gurung has secured 556 votes.
