The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has expelled seven leaders, including Haribol Gajurel, for acting against the party’s official directives.
According to a statement issued by party Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Co-Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, the disciplinary action was taken against those who, in violation of party decisions, became candidates, proposers, or campaigners in constituencies where the NCP had officially designated candidates for the upcoming general elections on Falgun 21, 2082 BS.
Those expelled include:
- Haribol Gajurel
- Maheshwar Dahal (Sindhuli)
- Kulprasad KC (Dang)
- Major Rai (Udaypur)
- Dharmanath Sah (Siraha)
- Rajkumari Sah (Siraha)
- Jivach Sah (Siraha)
Among them, Dahal had filed his candidacy from Sindhuli-2, and KC from Dang-1.
The party stated that the expulsions are in line with Article 106 of the party statute, which governs disciplinary actions for members acting against official party directives.
