The seventh secretariat meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has assigned senior leader Bamdev Gautam the party’s third-highest responsibility.
The meeting, held at the party’s central office in Aloknagar, placed Gautam after Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and respected leader Jhalnath Khanal in party hierarchy.
According to party Vice-Chairman and Head of the Publicity Department Prakash Jwala, senior leader Gautam took the oath from Chairman Nepal.
Jwala also stated that leaders who joined the Unified Socialist from the National Unity Campaign were assigned responsibilities within the party.
Additionally, D.B. Karki, Tulsi Thapa, and Loknath Dhamala were appointed as Politburo members.
Central committee members include Bhagwati Bisht, Durgadatt Bhandari, Radheshyam Gupta, Imansingh Bharti, Rabindra Bam, Tofa Yadav, Vidyaprasad Sharma, Ramprasad Adhikari, and Mohamad Sher Bagwan.
