A total of 17 leaders have been elected unopposed from the nomination process held to select new leadership under the 11th General Convention of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist).
According to the Election Committee, 11 central committee members and six office-bearers of the Discipline and Audit Commissions were elected without voting as only single candidacies were filed for those positions.
As the election process began, 11 central committee members secured their positions from various clusters and geographical representations. In Lumbini Province, three seats were allocated for women, and only Gumadevi Acharya, Menaka Kumari Pokhrel, and Shanti Devi Dhakal filed nominations, leading to their unopposed election.
Similarly, under the Madhesi cluster (youth category), only one candidate filed nomination for two available seats, resulting in Amar Kumar Yadav being elected unopposed.
Consensus-based selections were also made in inclusive and other clusters. Under the inclusive Muslim women category, Khajida Khatun Siddiki was elected unopposed, while Kamala Devi Shrestha and Sita Lama were elected unopposed under the inclusive labor women category. Likewise, Badmi Kumari Budha from the backward area (women) category and Hari Prasad Ghimire from the South Asia diaspora cluster were selected unanimously. In the open youth category under the age of 40, Naresh Rokaya and Sushil Kumar Thapa were also elected unopposed, the Election Committee confirmed.
Along with central committee members, office-bearers of two key party commissions were also selected unanimously. Professor Dr. Bharat Raj Pahari was elected unopposed as Chairperson of the Discipline Commission, while Chakra Bahadur Parajuli as Vice-Chairperson and Dr. Rajendra Ghimire as Secretary were also elected unopposed.
Similarly, Dr. Pushpa Raj Kandel was elected unopposed as Chairperson of the Central Audit Commission, with Dhanendra Raj Ghimire as Vice-Chairperson and Ishwari Prasad Kharel as Secretary. With single candidacies filed, all six officials of these commissions secured their positions even before the voting process began.
