The seventh session of the second term of the Karnali Provincial Assembly has officially concluded. Speaker Nanda Gurung informed that, on the recommendation of the Karnali Provincial Government, Province Chief Yagyaraj Joshi ended the session effective from 12:00 midnight on Sunday.
According to Speaker Gurung, key achievements of the session included the passage of a bill to establish and manage the Karnali Academy and another bill to amend several provincial laws.
She also stated that a bill to amend the Karnali Province Sports Development Act, 2076 was tabled in the assembly, along with a multi-point resolution proposing the operation of regular air services in the Himalayan districts of Karnali Province.
As per the Speaker, the seventh session held ten meetings from Magh 18 to Chaitra 15, during which a total of 13 hours and 42 minutes were spent in proceedings.
