Lawmakers from the Nepali Congress (NC) faction led by Dr. Shekhar Koirala have refused to sign blank sheets, citing lack of clarity about their purpose.
Both NC and UML had summoned their lawmakers to collect signatures. However, the Koirala group declined, saying the intent behind the move was not explained.
NC leader and House of Representatives member Purnabahadur Tamang (Kanchharam) confirmed they did not sign.
“We were not told anything about the signatures, so we did not sign,” he told reporters.
