A Shree Airlines flight bound for Dhangadhi from Kathmandu was forced to return to Kathmandu around midnight after being unable to land at its destination.
The aircraft failed to land in Dhangadhi despite multiple attempts, prompting the crew to turn back. As a result, passengers were left stranded, causing frustration at the airport. Journalist Royal Acharya, who was among the passengers, said that travelers expressed their dissatisfaction for some time after the plane returned to Kathmandu.
Shree Airlines staff member Sagar Paudel stated that passengers who wish to cancel their journey will receive a full refund, while those who still intend to travel will be accommodated on a Dhangadhi-bound flight scheduled for Tuesday morning.
The flight had departed Kathmandu at 9:45 PM. After repeated unsuccessful landing attempts at Dhangadhi Airport, the aircraft returned to Kathmandu at around 12:00 AM. There were 80 passengers on board, including the flight crew.
