Speaker Devaraj Ghimire has initiated consultations with political parties to ease the country’s current political situation.
According to Speaker Ghimire’s press advisor, Shekhar Adhikari, the discussions are currently underway in the Speaker’s office at Singha Durbar, with former chief advisors and advisors of the dissolved House of Representatives participating. Representatives of all parties except the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are involved in the talks.
Amid recent days’ meetings and central committee sessions of major parties such as the Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), this meeting with the Speaker is being viewed as significant.
