Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire has stressed the need to transform the current uneasy situation in the country—created after the Gen Z movement—into peace and stability as soon as possible.
In a message issued on the occasion of Chhath Festival 2082, he stated, “To restore peace and stability after the youth-led movement, cooperation among the government, political parties, youth groups, civil society, and the Nepali people is essential. The collective commitment of all is necessary to address the demands of the youth against corruption and for good governance.”
Extending his best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad, Speaker Ghimire expressed hope that this festival would help end class-based, caste-based, and gender-based discrimination, while further strengthening national unity.
He further added, “With the blessings of Lord Surya and Chhathi Mata, may we all be inspired to protect the achievements of our constitution and move forward toward building a prosperous, inclusive, and well-governed Nepal.”
