The Special Court has ordered pre-trial detention for Pradeep Adhikari, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
In the same case, the court has allowed the release of former CAAN Director Murari Bhandari on a bail amount of NPR 500,000.
The bench of judges — Hemanta Rawal, Dillirathna Shrestha, and Bidur Koirala — issued the order to send Adhikari to custody.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a corruption case against both officials on Mangsir 17, accusing them of irregularities in the construction of the Nalinchowk helipad in Bhaktapur.
