The building of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly, which was destroyed by arson during the Gen Z protest on 24 Bhadau, has been repaired. After four months of repair and maintenance work, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat has stated that the building is now ready for conducting assembly sessions.
Following the completion of repairs and the installation of chairs, tables, microphones, and other technical equipment, the Provincial Assembly meeting—disrupted since the Gen Z movement—will resume. The meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held on Sunday decided to convene the Assembly session on Wednesday at 2:00 pm, according to Information Officer of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Yubaraj Jaishi.
He said the agenda includes providing time for Provincial Assembly members to speak during the zero hour. The meeting will also table the bill related to the management of hazardous pesticides in Sudurpaschim Province and present the report of the Public Accounts Committee.
