Nepali Congress candidate Sunil Bahadur Thapa has been elected unopposed as a member of the National Assembly. Thapa secured the seat after no candidate was filed from the CPN side, leaving him as the sole contender. The formal declaration of his unopposed election is scheduled to be made on Poush 27.
