A microbus (Hiace) traveling from Banfikot, Rukum, to Tulsipur, Dang, met with a fatal accident, resulting in the deaths of three people. The deceased have been identified as 67-year-old Pabi KC, 27-year-old Prakash KC, and 30-year-old Shashidhar KC, all residents of Banfikot Rural Municipality–5, according to Resham Khatri, spokesperson of the Salyan District Police Office.
The accident occurred this morning when the microbus, bearing registration number Lu 2 Kha 6502, crashed at Chorakhola, Kapurkot–3. Three people died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries. The seriously injured, 47-year-old Khagendra KC and 36-year-old Dina KC, both from Banfikot Rural Municipality, Rukum West, were first treated at Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur and later referred to Kohalpur Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The vehicle fell approximately 300 meters off the road.
