Three people were killed and 16 others injured in a collision between a bus and a van at Jaluwa Tol in Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-3, Sunsari, this morning.
The accident occurred at around 7:15 a.m. on the East-West Highway when a bus (Me 1 Kha 1799) traveling from Kakarbhitta to Diktel, Khotang, collided with a van (Province 2-01-001 Ja 0047) coming from the opposite direction.
According to police, the deceased include two men and one woman, whose identities have not yet been confirmed. Of the injured, four are in critical condition, 12 are in moderate condition, and one has sustained minor injuries. The injured are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Sunsari.
