Three people were killed in an electric vehicle accident at Pipal Bhanjyang in Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-4 of Palpa. The electric vehicle (Lumbini Province 01-001 J 0091) was traveling from Amlabash to Mehaldharap when it met with the accident this afternoon, resulting in the death of the driver and two passengers.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Kamal Pradhan, information officer at the District Police Office Palpa, the deceased have been identified as 34-year-old driver Kamal Rayamajhi of Amlabash, Chhahara; 37-year-old Muktabahadur Budhathoki of Siddheshwar, Rainadevi Chhahara-1; and 41-year-old Rambahadur Gaha of Mehaldhap, Chhahara-4.
All three, who were critically injured in the accident, were taken to Palpa District Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead. There were only three people on board the vehicle. Police said the vehicle fell deep down into a stream from the road, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
